I’m like a UX team of one that you can hire to take on overloads or projects that require expertise that your in-house team doesn’t have yet.
I ensure that you get a design solution that addresses your most pressing problem, a solution that’s been tested with users so you know it will meet their needs, too.
Plus, I’m a seasoned UX designer and researcher. I’ve worked in-house, as a consultant, and as a solopreneur for more than 15 years. I know how to get the job done with minimal fuss. Here’s how I manage UX design projects:
- Initial kickoff call with you and any stakeholders I’ll be working with during the project.
- Weekly check-ins via email to share my progress and ensure the project stays on track.
- Mid-point review – a brief call where I share my findings and we can make adjustments to the project plan if needed.
- Final presentation where I’ll present my work to you and your team, answer any questions, and hand off deliverables.
What will I get from you?
I always start by auditing your current website based on the goals you shared with me. Then, I recommend a solution to address your goals and design a prototype. I’ll use that prototype to conduct one round of usability testing (either with your actual users or with representative users from a panel). Finally, I’ll make adjustments to the prototype based on the results of the usability testing.
The final deliverables for a UX design project are:
- a UX audit report that lists usability issues on your website and my recommendations on how to fix them
- a prototype of a design solution that has been tested with users and iterated on to incorporate their feedback
- a summary of usability testing results and user feedback
- my recommendations for next steps
What you will NOT get from my UX design projects:
- User interviews or other generative user research
- Hi-fidelity design files that are ready to hand off to a website developer
Can I see an example?
Yes! Here are examples of the types of design files and artifacts I may create for a UX design project.

What do you need from me to get started?
I’ll ask you a few questions to help me understand your goals and users, and that’s all I need to get started.
